And now, it appears that the transfer is coming to fruition as Aubameyang has been spotted at Arsenal’s training grounds, presumably to complete a medical and finalize what has become one of the winter transfer window’s most compelling storylines.
Aubameyang to undergo #afc medical after arriving at Colney. Club trying to make sure everything is in place so paperwork can be completed quickly once Dortmund give the go-ahead. Dortmund's search to find a replacement continues: https://t.co/RtRRhoWw2y

LATEST: Aubameyang medical pencilled for Wed AM. Earlier today all set for Batshuayi loan to Dortmund, Giroud to Chelsea for £20m. But #CFC via Marina Granovskaia now trying to drive price down so #AFC minded to end talks & send Giroud to #BVB - though unclear if he’d agree to it pic.twitter.com/R9jAnVdk0f

What a mess.
So as it stands now, Aubameyang is in London awaiting a medical tomorrow at Arsenal. It may or may not happen depending on how Arsenal resolve Olivier Giroud’s situation, with Chelsea and their stained Russian oil currency suddenly pulling out empty pockets and sad faces. On top of that, there is very little indication on whether Giroud would accept a move to Dortmund - the logical best-case scenario if he ends up leaving the club this month.
