Barcelona are rumored to be sniffing around their former La Masia product, Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin, to replace outgoing Dani Alves:
Now, you might be thinking to yourself "why in the world would Hector want to leave the place that rejected him a few years ago?" And you'd be right to assume that he doesn't hold an interest in moving from Arsenal, since he spoke recently about how much he loves life at the club and London. Also, to the best of my knowledge, Hector has many hobbies off the pitch but evading taxes or being a miserable person with questionable morals aren't among things he enjoys to do.
As much as Arsenal fans worry whenever we hear about "Barcelona DNA", this rumor just doesn't hold up. There is no reason Arsene Wenger would ever consider an inquiry from the Catalona outfit, not when the club is swimming in money and strengthening with signings that indicate a real direction forward.
So, to put it bluntly: Pound sand, Barcelona. Hector's ours.
