The final hurdle before an official club announcement appears to have been cleared. David Ornstein, also known as The Ornacle, has tweeted about Granit Xhaka.
Arsenal close to signing Gladbach mdf Granit Xhaka. Agreement reached on £30m deal, in London to finalise terms, medical this weekend #AFC

So here we have confirmation on most of what Jeremy Wilson reported earlier: a fee around £30 million, depending; the player is in London to finalize a contract and a medical exam, and things should be mostly sorted out this weekend. So that's all good news.
If this is your first go-round on the Arsenal Transfer Window Machine, David Ornstein is about as close as you can get to an official club press officer without actually being employed by Arsenal. He rarely speaks, but when he does, you can be pretty sure it's real. His sources are good, and he's careful. The deal could, of course, still fall apart somehow. But you have our official permission to get schwifty. The Ornacle has spoken.
