Wellington Silva en route to Bolton loan

He's a lot younger than you probably think he is.

Arsenal youth forward Wellington Silva is close to a season-long loan at Bolton Wanderers of the second-division Championship, which would be his sixth different team since arriving at Arsenal in 2010. Wellington is still young – only 22 as this season begins – which feels odd since he's been at Arsenal so long.

But this will be his first season playing in England. He received a work permit only last fall, and this is the first time he's been eligible to play in an English league. Because of that he sort of feels like a player whose time has come and gone, but in reality there's still plenty of time for Wellington to come good.

According to ESPN, the deal should be done in time for Wellington to be available for Bolton's next game, which appears to be this evening against MK Dons. That seems a bit fast to me, but it's certainly not impossible.
