According to French outlet Nice-Matin, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina, and a fee of around €4 million with OGC Nice and the player will join Arsenal "in the coming hours."
This is being re-reported by ESPN, as well as by journalists Robin Bairner of Goal and Matt Spiro of beIN Sports. Spiro's thoughts on Ospina:
No way Ospina would automatically accept no2 role.Ambitious, young and talented. Szczesny faces serious competition if €4m deal goes through

So where's the hold up? Well, if you'll think back about six days, you'll recall that we wrote almost exactly this same post then. Same source, basically the same information. I'm not entirely sure why they're reporting this again, but they are. So maybe we're about to sign two 25-year-old Colombian World Cup star goalkeepers. Or maybe they're just slightly more sure than they were a week ago that this was going to happen. Or maybe they just wanted a little more web traffic. I don't know. The only real difference is that in the first one they said "in the coming days," now they say "in the coming hours." So I guess they think announcement time is closing in.
Either way, Ospina would make a more than adequate replacement for the departed Lukasz Fabianski. Hopefully we'll hear something from the club soon.
UPDATE: RMC Sport is now reporting it as well, if you were curious.
