Alexis Sanchez has been out injured since the end of November, but he could be nearing a return. According to Jeremy Wilson, Alexis could participate in one way or another in the FA Cup tie this weekend with Sunderland, although it remains to be seen to what extent he's available. Considering he's already had one injury setback since hurting his hamstring against Norwich, it's probably for the best if he doesn't overexert.
On the other hand, with matches against Liverpool (next week) and Chelsea (despite their place in the standings, they still scare me), it might do Alexis some good to get out on the field and get some game action. Perhaps a start with an early substitution, or he could come on for the last half hour.
Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky are also back in training, which is great news for a somewhat beleaguered squad even though neither one will be available this weekend. But reinforcements are on the way!
