Arsenal conceded a sloppy goal with sterile possession superiority translating in a one nil score for Nottingham Forest, with the hosts claiming safety from relegation with a game to spare. Jesus was yellow carded when a spot kick should have been awarded to the Gunners. The noisy neighbors lost 1-3 at home to Toney-less Brentford. Suspiciously, Toney was banned with two games to go, the second game being against Manchester City, who had suffered their only loss of the season at home to the Bees earlier in the season. Bournemouth lost 0-1 to Manchester United. Fulham versus Crystal Palace (2-2) as well as Liverpool versus Aston Villa (1-1, with bad decisions galore by the officials) and Wolverhampton versus Everton (1-1) all ended square. West Ham punished Leeds 3-1 and Brighton won by the same score against Southampton. Manchester City, already crowned as Champions, went one-nil at home against Chelsea. Newcastle versus Leicester ended scoreless. Brighton should have won, but a fantastic goal by Enciso gave them a 1-1 draw against Manchester City. Finally, Manchester United beat a disinterested bunch of Chelsea players 4-1 to deny Liverpool a chance to try to squeeze in the top four.
Overall, the nine active participants combined for 75 points (for an average of 8 and 3/9 points or 8 and 1/3 points per active participant) and there were only three correct IKTS predictions. The twelve games for the Week ended up with five wins for home teams versus two wins by visiting teams and there were five draws. Overall, 30 goals were scored for an average of 2 and 8/12 goals or 2 and 2/3 goals per game.
