IKTS Week 34: At home to Chelsea/

After squandering four points in the fixtures at West Ham and at home to Southampton, Arsenal lost to a Manchester City team in top form. The midfield was nowhere to be seen and Ramsdale conceded avoidable goals to KDB but repelled many goal worthy attempts. The goal by Stones before halftime was offside, but must not be viewed as an alibi for the capitulation at the reigning champions. A consolation goal by Holding was followed by a Haaland strike for a 4-1 final score.

Wolverhampton won 2-0 at home against Crystal Palace. Aston Villa went one nil at home to Fulham. Leeds and Leicester shared the spoils at 1-1 but both teams are still at risk of being relegated. The surprise of the week came at Nottingham Forest who won 3-1 at home against Brighton. Chelsea continues a nightmare season with a 0-2 loss at home to Brentford. West Ham lost 1-2 at home to Liverpool who continue to progress upwards in the table. Everton was humiliated at home 1-4 by Newcastle. Southampton lost by a single goal and could not score against Bournemouth, making their relegation quasi certain. Finally, the noisy neighbors snatched a point at home after going down 0-2 to Manchester United but goals by Porro and Son gave them a 2-2 draw.

Overall, the eleven active participants combined for 62 points (for an average of 5 and 7/11 points per active participant) and there were 6 correct IKTS predictions. The ten games for the Week ended up with four wins for home teams versus four wins by visiting teams along with two draws. Overall, 29 goals were scored for an average of 2.9 goals per game.
