Arsenal should have been awarded countless penalties but VAR officials were only busy napping when a kickoff routine with several Bournemouth players infringing resulted in a goal that should have been chalked off. But the seven odd penalties that were not awarded would have (if they had taken place at Anfield for the visitors) resulted in a 7-7 score line, assuming they had hypothetically been converted, a very improbable eventuality. LOL. Arsenal conceded a second goal before the hour mark but scored through Thomas Partey and equalized through Ben White for his first goal ever for Arsenal. The rest is just madness, as Reiss Nelson scored a true screamer using his left foot to avoid an onrushing defender. This is the stuff legends are made of, and Reiss Nelson is MOTM as he also assisted White's goal while ESR (NOT erythrocyte sedimentation rate) assisted Partey's goal.
Earlier, Manchester City routinely beat Newcastle 2-0 in a boring game. Aston Villa versus Crystal Palace, Chelsea versus Leeds, and Southampton versus Leicester all finished 1-0, as well as Wolverhampton versus the noisy neighbors. Brighton punished West Ham 4-0 and Moyes is back at the top of the potential sack list. Sunday, Nottingham Forest produced a 2-2 draw against Everton in a watchable game. Then, a hilarious and historical 7-0 resounding beating administered by Liverpool to a bunch of dunces from Manchester United. LOL. Finally, Monday saw Brentford win 3-2 versus Fulham in the derby opposing the top two teams from West London.
