IKTS Week 3: At Bournemouth.

Arsenal dominated Leicester, and the final score of 4-2 is flattering for the Foxes. Jesus scored a brace before a mishap lead to an own goal by Saliba, but our young center back played extremely well otherwise. Xhaka restored the two goal difference on an assist by Jesus, before Maddison scored luckily via Ramsdale's legs. Once again, the two goal difference was restored thanks to Martinelli, assisted by the inevitable Jesus. Vardy tried to get a penalty but VAR concluded that Ramsdale did not foul the old wily fox in the surface.

The spoonerism was not solved, but it involved a switch of the first three letters of Pulis and the first three letters of pensions.

Earlier on Saturday, Aston Villa took care of Everton 2-1. Other games on the day involved a 4-0 thrashing by Manchester City of newly promoted Bournemouth while a similar score was achieved by Brentford against a hapless Manchester United team. Brighton versus Newcastle and Wolverhampton versus Fulham both ended scoreless while Southampton versus Leeds ended up 2-2. On Sunday, Nottingham Forest won 1-0 credibly against West Ham. Then came the Chelsea versus Tottenham muscular game, with Tottenham getting away with a variety of misdemeanors and felonies (including hair pulling, but who can resist Cuccurella's luscious mane?) then snatching a 2-2 draw at the death, in a game that was followed by some additional extracurricular activities involving Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte who both ended up with red cards. Monday saw Zaha scoring for Crystal Palace but, after Darwin was given a red card, Luis Diaz scored a nice equalizer for a final score of 1-1.

Overall, the 14 active participants (DustyGooner failed to post predictions for the week) combined for 107 points, for an average of 7 and 9/14 points per active participant) and we had a grand total of 12 correct IKTS predictions.
