IKTS Week 37: A visit to Newcastle.

Arsenal disposed of Leeds by the score of 2-1, with an opportunistic goal by Eddie Nketiah within a few minutes followed by another assisted by Martinelli, thus earning a brace. Ayling got red carded for a dangerous foul on Martinelli, but the Gunners then went into sterile domination mode with plenty of chances but no further goals, and had a nervy end of the game after Llorente scored on a very poorly defended corner. Earlier, on Saturday, Brentford annihilated Southampton 3-0 while Brighton did even better at the tune of a 4-0 drubbing of Manchester United. Burnley lost at home to Aston Villa, conceding thrice, but got a consolation goal. Crystal Palace went one-nil over Watford. There were two surprise ties, Chelsea-Wolverhampton at 2-2, and Liverpool-Tottenham at 1-1, with the hosts failing in both games to nail 3 points. Leicester lost 1-2 at home to Everton with the Toffees looking safe from relegation. Norwich got roasted at home 0-4 by West Ham. Manchester City dominated (and some) Newcastle 5-0. Liverpool were patient but eventually beat Aston Villa away, scoring twice, and concealing only once. Leeds lost 0-3 to Chelsea, and look like they are close to relegation. Leicester won 3-0 versus Norwich. Watford and Everton ended up goalless. Wolverhampton lost 1-5 to Manchester City with four goals by KDB. Finally, the noisy neighbors were somehow aided by the officials, winning their game 3-0 in dubious fashion. The seven active participants combined for 72 points (for an average of 10 and 2/7 per active participant) and we had a grand total of 9 correct IKTS predictions.
