IKTS Cup Part 5: At Eindhoven.

Arsenal won at home thanks to a goal by Xhaka whose right footed volley (assisted by Tomiyasu) resulted in the final score of one-nil to The Arsenal. Eindhoven threatened occasionally while Arsenal dominated the game but failed to convert on many opportunities. This win opens a five point edge at the top of group A of the Europa League. A win at home to Zurich guarantees first place to Arsenal, no matter what.

A huge shout for the Arsenal ladies/women team who demolished defending Lyon feminines, the defending UEFA CL holders (and perennial women UEFA CL powerhouse) away with five goals to Arsenal while only conceding a lucky goal to their opponents. I grew up supporting Saint-Etienne, and Lyon is historically THE enemy, so this is satisfactory on many levels as far as I am concerned.

Only skinnejay predicted the exact score to haul 3 points but ben from portsmouth and Ray from Norfolk had the correct outcome and the correct goal difference for two points each, while Geaux_HR, hansdampf, Seidman, and Sonny from Suffolk get one point each for predicting the correct outcome, but neither the correct score, nor the correct goal difference.

Scores for Part 4:

skinnejay 3 (1)
ben from portsmouth 2 (0)
Ray from Norfolk 2 (0)
Geaux_HR 1 (0)
hansdampf 1 (0)
Seidman 1 (0)
Sonny from Suffolk 1 (0)

Standings after Part 4:

skinnejay 7 (2)
ben from portsmouth 7 (1)
Geaux_HR 6 (1)
Sonny from Suffolk 6 (1)
Ray from Norfolk 6 (0)
Seidman 5 (1)
hansdampf 4 (0)
ClevelandJames 3 (0)
luismamontes 1 (0)

After Part 4, skinnejay leads ben from portsmouth based on a slim edge of 2 to 1 of correct IKTS scores, with both on 7 points.
