How to watch Arsenal vs. Tottenham friendly: online streaming, start time, lineups

The Gunners close out preseason with a North London Derby. Kinda.

Arsenal make the short trip across North London to take on Tottenham Hotspur in The Mind Series to close out the preseason. It’s technically an NLD, but somehow I’m having trouble getting super amped up for a friendly. I’m much more interested in who Mikel Arteta plays and where, and how the side looks ahead of the Premier League opener at Brentford on August 13th than the actual result of today’s match.

To that end, Mikel Arteta will be without Thomas Partey until probably after the international break at the end of the month. I’m hopeful he plays Sambi Lokonga in his place — because isn’t that why they brought him in, to back up Thomas? But i’m already preparing myself to see Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny tomorrow and in the league opener.

The Gunners will also be without Eddie Nketiah (ankle injury, four weeks) and Gabriel Magalhaes (knee injury, returning soon-ish?). Those two absences will be felt significantly less. I don’t think that Eddie Nketiah was going to play much of a role this season. And it’s mostly a wash between Pablo Mari and Gabriel, although personally I prefer the Brazilian because I think he has higher upside. Gabriel Martinelli is yet to return to London after winning gold with Brazil in the Olympics.

I expect that Ben White will either get the start or play an entire half of football. I also think that Bukayo Saka will get a significant run out so that he’s ready to go next week. Full lineups will be posted when available.

Arsenal - Leno, Bellerin, White, Mari, Tierney, Lokonga, Xhaka, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang, Lacazette

Tottenham - Lloris, Reguilon, Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Bergwijn, Dele, Lucas, Son

The match will be streamed on both the Arsenal and Tottenham website for £7.99, most (all?) of which goes to both mental health charities and each club’s respective charitable arms. It will not be broadcast elsewhere. I’m not sure whether anybody from TSF will be available to actually watch the match, so you may have to follow along on elsewhere on Twitter for this one. Of course, please do chat and interact with each other in the comments about the match.
