Lisa Evans has signed for West Ham United Women on loan from Arsenal for the 2021-22 season. Evans joined Arsenal before the 2017-18 season from Bayern Munich, and was a mainstay in the team that won the league title in 2018-19, while also winning the 2017-18 Continental Cup. Capable of playing at right back and right wing, Evans had an injury hit 2020-21 season, with a calf injury and a persistent Achilles injury, and only played in 471 minutes.
Arsenal have also, over the last 12 months, signed Noelle Maritz, who is an excellent right back, while Anna Patten has also played right back since re-joining the club. Further forward, Nikita Parris, who predominantly plays right wing, joined in the summer, while Katie McCabe could also be a further option forward as Steph Catley returns to full fitness. In short, Arsenal have a lot of options in the roles that Evans plays in.
️ Lisa Evans on joining West Ham on loan: "All done very quickly. Arsenal told me that they had interest from West Hame for me. And that would be an option for me to get game time. And obviously, as a player, you don't want to be sitting on the bench, you want to be playing." pic.twitter.com/ATgO3wbMYn

Evans’ contract expires at the end of this season, so it is more than likely that she has played her final game for the club.
