I saw a social media post this morning talking about Bitcoin prices back in 2011 (or sometime thereabouts), and a guy who bought a lot of the cryptocurrency back when it was sub-$100 a coin. It reminded me of back around the same time when I had become aware of Bitcoin and was debating whether I should buy some.

Not that long story short, I did not. And I really wish that I had. It ranks up there among my biggest regrets in life, which, I suppose isn’t all that bad if you put it into perspective.

Also on that list: not throwing myself into esports, which I knew (much more so than Bitcoin) would blow up about two or three years before it actually did. Oh well.

They always say you want to get in on the ground floor, and those are two prominent ground floor misses that I’ve registered. I think it’s in part because other than being really lucky or really smart (or perhaps in addition to) you have to be a risk-taker to really hit it big. And I’m not. I wish I was, but I’m definitely not.

What are some of your biggest regrets? Or biggest wins — times where you did move early and benefitted from it?
