IKTS Week 9: At home to Aston Villa, then at home to Leeds in the League Cup.

Arsenal started brightly but fell into a trap due to a combination of a dull game plan, players making mistakes, and Mike Dean, who did his best to ensure a loss until Lacazette's goal to equalize at the death. Arteta needs Arsenal to be more Assertive, your AAA of the week. Liverpool beat Watford 5-0, with a hat trick by Firmino. Aston Villa steadily went up 2-0 on Wolverhampton, only to implode late on and concede thrice for a 2-3 loss, in a battle pitting two teams that both took 6 points from Arsenal last season. Leicester punished Manchester United 4-2 in a worrying display for the team that finished third last season. Manchester City boringly beat Burnley 2-0 at home. Norwich versus Brighton finished scoreless. Southampton beat Leeds 1-0 for their first win of the season. Brentford were very unlucky, losing 0-1 to Chelsea despite outplaying them handily in the second half. Everton lost at home by the same score to West Ham. Finally, the noisy neighbors disrespected Steve Bruce on his 1000th game in charge, beating Newcastle, despite Newcastle scoring the first goal and the last goal, coming short against the three goals scored against them. Overall, the eight participants combined for 50 points (or 6 points and 1/4 each) and there were only 4 correct IKTS predictions.
