Monday Cannon Fodder: Premier League weekend recap

Fulham 0 - Arsenal 3
Goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang lifted the Gunners to the full points. Fulham didn’t offer much goal threat and will need to play much better to stay up this season.

Crystal Palace 1 - Southampton 0
An early goal, and his 50th in the league, from Wilfried Zaha was the difference for Palace. Southampton had more than 70% of the possession but couldn’t find a way through.

Liverpool 4 - Leeds United 3
Easily the most exciting match of the weekend. Mo Salah hit a hat trick, including an 88th minute penalty to get the win for the champions. Leeds United are beautiful chaos. They run, and run, and run some more. They will be fun to watch this year.

West Ham 0 - Newcastle 2
2nd half goals from Callum Wilson and Jeff Hendrick were enough for the Magpies to see off the Hammers. West Ham did not look good. They need roster help. Right now, I’m feeling good about picking them to go down.

West Bromwich Albion 0 - Leicester City 3
Can you have an unconvincing 3-0 win? Asking for Leicester. Castagne and a Vardy penalty double were enough to see off a rather toothless Baggies side.

Tottenham 0 - Everton 1
I may have to rewatch this one because I’m honestly not sure what to make of it. Jordan Pickford was fantastic, otherwise Spurs would have had at least 3. James Rodriguez was great for the Toffees, and Doucoure was solid, too. Dominic Calvert-Lewin got the only goal.

Today, we’ve got Sheffield United vs. Wolves and Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Chelsea.
