The Women’s Super League today revealed every team’s opening two matches of the 2020/21 season, with Arsenal to start their campaign at home at Meadow Park, against Reading. That match, scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 6, will see Arsenal face off against former teammates Danielle Carter and Emma Mitchell.

Arsenal’s second fixture, scheduled for September 13, will see the Gunners travel to West Ham. With the UK government set to allow some fans into matches beginning in October, both fixtures will take place behind closed doors, but will be available to watch on the FA Player.

The rest of Arsenal’s schedule is yet to be released; the week following West Ham is an international break, and the FA Cup quarterfinals take place the week after. The WSL is waiting for the release of Premier League and Football League fixtures to avoid big match clashes, as well as ground-share clashes, and, presumably, for further clarity about fans being allowed into grounds.

Arsenal will travel to San Sebastián to finish this season’s Champions League, playing PSG on August 22, with a potential semi-final, should Arsenal win, on August 26.
