Arsenal’s good week continues. Having won on Sunday and Wednesday, and tied down Bukayo Saka to a 4-year contract, the club have announced that Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new long-term contract. Martinelli, who signed for the club exactly one year ago, burst on to the scene this season, scoring 10 goals in 26 games in all competitions, including 3 in the Premier League.
The Brazilian, who turned 19 last month, will not play for Arsenal again this season having suffered a knee injury in training. Still, it is a mark of his promise and Arsenal’s desire to keep him that the club was able to sign him to a new contract, which is, according to James Benge, a 4-year deal with an option.
Gabriel Martinelli's contract is a four year deal with a club option to extend it. What a year for a player who Arteta describes as "a very talented young player and he has impressed us with his performances, attitude and work-rate." And what a week, so far, for Arsenal.

In his play so far, Martinelli has excelled on the left hand side of the attacking three, showing a knack for good outside to in runs. With the two contract extensions this week, Arsenal can begin to picture a future left-hand side, one that can be the core of the club for years to come.
