What’s on your mind?

It’s Friday so that means it’s Open Thread day!

Of course, Arsenal play tomorrow. But there’s a lot of other footie on as well. You should really try to catch some of the NWSL Challenge Cup on CBS All Access. I think you can get a free trial run of the streaming service. Also, check out All for XI’s coverage — they’re doing a fantastic job.

Hamilton comes out on Disney+ today, with much of the original cast. Tickets to see it on Broadway were insanely difficult to get and unbelievably expensive — needless to say, I haven’t seen it. I’ve listened to a bit of the music, though, and it’s catchy! My girlfriend and I are going to watch it later today, I think.

The other big news, at least around here in D.C., is that FedEx (along with numerous other corporate sponsors) have requested that the Washington Redskins change their name. FedEx has owned the naming rights to the team’s stadium they moved out of RFK in D.C. out to Landover, MD. I think the name change is finally going to happen. It’s beyond time.

So what’s on your mind? Have your normal Fourth of July plans changed or been canceled because of COVID? Doing anything in particular this weekend not 4th related? I suppose it’s just another weekend for you non-U.S. readers, so what are you up to?

Oh, and I almost forgot. #JoseOut started trending on Twitter yesterday. LOL Spurs.
