Arsenal vs. Watford match thread: closing time

One last call for the Premier League.

There’s a lot left to play for today for a handful of Premier League teams. Arsenal aren’t one of them. Visiting Watford, however, is. The Hornets come to the Emirates needing to better Aston Villa’s result to stay up. It’s been a rough restart for Watford. They’ve gone 2-5-1 and gone from likely to stay up to likely to be relegated, and they’re working with an interim manager in Hayden Mullins after the shock firing of Nigel Pearson two weeks ago.

Arsenal will be wearing their 2020-21 home kits today, but you may have difficulty seeing them — today’s match will be broadcast only on the Golf Channel in the U.S. and is not streaming live.

Fortunately, the Manchester United - Leicester City match, where the winner will head to the Champions League, is being broadcast on NBC. I’d recommend watching that. There are a few different scenarios that could play out depending on the result of the Chelsea match, but the bottom line is that it’s “win and in” for both United and Leicester. Also worth a look at full time is whether Kevin de Bruyne managed two assists against Norwich City because if he does, he’ll break Thierry Henry’s single season assist record.

Arsenal will be without Shkodran Mustafi today and next weekend because of the hamstring injury he picked up against Manchester City. Daryl Janmaat, Gerard Deulofeu and Isaac Success are sidelined for Watford.

Arsenal - Martinez, Maitland-Niles, David Luiz, Holding, Tierney, Xhaka, Willock, Ceballos, Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang

Watford - Foster, Masina, Dawson, Kabasele, Femenia, Hughes, Welbeck, Doucoure, Pereyra Deeny, Sarr

WHAT: Arsenal vs. Watford
WHERE: The Emirates
WHEN: 8 AM PT | 11 AM ET | 4 PM BT
US TV: Golf Channel

Also streaming on Peacock and NBC Sports Gold ON REPLAY ONLY. As far as I can tell, if you don’t have Golf Channel in your cable package, you will not be able to watch the match live in the US.

Here’s a bit more about NBC’s new platform as it affects Premier League broadcasts for next season. Additionally, if you sign up for a Peacock account from an Android device, you get three months of the with-ads service for free.
