I’m going to savor every minute of this feeling. I’m absolutely buzzing.
The Gunners put in a near-perfect performance today to fully earn their place in the FA Cup Final on August 1st. Everybody executed Mikel Arteta’s gameplan to a T. City had the lion’s share of the possession, but as many like to say, it was possession without penetration. City managed 14 shots, but only one on target. Arsenal got a little lucky that Raheem Sterling fired wide on a chance he normally scores, but hey, you need a couple breaks to win big games.
That was the best Arsenal performance in a very, very long time. Without a doubt the best performance in the post-Wenger era. And what a time to have it. Arsenal will have to beat Manchester United or Chelsea in the final, but after today, it feels like this side can take on all comers. I’m excited.
