Over the past three months, I think we’ve all longed for a sense of normalcy at one point or another. A bit of normalcy I could have done without, however, is Arsenal getting dismantled by Manchester City. To be honest, I expected Arsenal to lose this one. But they managed to do it in such an Arsenal way — playing well to start, Bernd Leno giving us hope with some great saves, then brain-farting it away.
All told, I don’t think we learned all that much from today’s loss. Manchester City are a really good team. Arsenal are still not a very good team. David Luiz is having one of the worst season’s for a defender in Premier League history (sadly, that’s not hyperbole).
It’s been a while since we’ve had one of these player ratings posts, but I think it’s pretty self-explanatory. Go in on the lads or don’t. There’s at least one player who deserves all “zero” ratings, the good news is that guy will be suspended for the next three matches.
