It has all come down to this!

And then there were two. Ian Wright and Patrick Vieira steamrolled their respective ways to the Final Four, but it was always going to be this pair in the Final.

Bergkamp and Henry.

Both club legends with statues outside the Emirates. A duo that absolutely demolished opposing defenses for years. The players that best embody what “Arsenal football” is. I could write posts chock-full of superlatives about the pair for days. They are one of the most fearsome attacking partnerships in the history of club football.

I’ve said just about all I can say about the pair throughout this competition, so I’ll let them tell you about each other (as if you need to be told anything at all). It’s in your hands now — who is your favorite Premier League Arsenal player?

CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

#1 Dennis Bergkamp vs. #1 Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry on Bergkamp: “I have always said [he] will remain the best partner I have ever had. He is a dream for a striker. The most important thing is the team...If you are in the game, on the bench or watching on TV, you want to learn then Dennis Bergkamp, with the way he can kill a team with one pass, is just amazing. He will sometimes do things out of nowhere.”

Dennis Bergkamp on Henry: “If you look at the whole package, with everything Henry has, I don’t think you can find that anywhere else. You give him the ball in the right place and his acceleration will take him past any defender in the world.”
