Favorite Arsenal Player Bracket: Final Four

A battle of Arsenal titans.

With the elimination of Tony Adams, Lee Dixon, Santi Cazorla, and Robert Pires, we’ve got our Final Four. Three Invincibles. Three immortalized in bronze outside the Emirates. All club legends.

Ian Wright. Dennis Bergkamp. Thierry Henry. Patrick Vieira.

These two pairings are undoubtedly the most difficult to decide of the competition thus far. I don’t know how I’m going to do it; I think I’m going to quickly submit my first instinct because if I mire myself in a rigorous evaluation, I’ll get trapped in an infinite loop. Hey, at least I got the one seeds right. They need little explanation, so I’m going to keep it brief this time around.

FINAL FOUR

#1 Ian Wright vs. #1 Dennis Bergkamp

Ian Wright is unapologetically Arsenal. He’s never been afraid to speak his mind or criticize the club, but at the end of the day, he’s a proper Gunner. His mark of 185 goals for the club was only surpassed by another man in this Final Four.

Dennis Bergkamp epitomizes the beauty of Arsenal football that has seduced so many of us into becoming lifelong supporters. His 150 goals for the club are 10th most all-time, and he scored the Greatest Premier League Goal ever.

#1 Thierry Henry vs. #1 Patrick Vieira

Thierry Henry is the greatest player to ever pull on an Arsenal shirt. His record of 228 goals for the club won’t ever be broken.

Patrick Vieira is THE box-to-box midfielder and was the rock on which The Invincibles were built on. As I wrote for an earlier round, when you’re the stick by which all other players at your position are measured by, you’ve done it right. That’s Patrick Vieira.
