Premier League

Burnley 1 - Tottenham 1
Dele Alli’s penalty goal cancelled out a Chris Wood goal and split the points at Turf Moor. Jose Mourinho lit into Tanguy Ndombele after the match, criticizing his contributions.

Liverpool 2 - Bournemouth 1
Goals from Mo Salah and Sadio Mane less than ten minutes apart turned things around for the Reds after Callum Wilson had put the Cherries ahead nine minutes into the match. Liverpool are three wins away from clinching the league.

Chelsea 4 - Everton 0
Mason Mount, Pedro, Willian, and Olivier Giroud scored as the Blues ran rampant over the Toffees at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United 2 - Manchester City 0
Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay scored for United to lift them in the Manchester derby. This one hurts for Arsenal — those were points you’d expect the Red Devils to drop.

Barcelona 1 - Real Sociedad 0
Lionel Messi converted his VAR-awarded penalty to lift Barca over a stubborn Sociedad side. Former Arsenal man Nacho Monreal had a strong game for the visitors. After falling to second in the table after losing in El Classico, Barca reclaimed the top spot this weekend.

Real Betis 2 - Real Madrid 1
Sidnei da Silva Junior opened the scoring for Betis, Karim Benzema responded on a penalty right before the close of the first half, and substitute Cristian Tello notched the winner. The surprising loss for Real Madrid ceded control of La Liga’s title chase back to Barca.

Marseille 2 - Amiens 2
Goals from Morgan Sanson and Dmitri Payet staked Andre Villas-Boas’ men to a two-goal lead only to see Serhou Guirassy and substitute Saman Ghoddos’ second half added time goal split the points.

Rennes 5 - Montpellier 0
Not much to say about this thrashing. Rennes are third in the table, six points behind Marseille in second. Lille are pushing them for the final Champions League spot, just one point back.

The PSG - Strasbourg match was postponed due to coronavirus. The Paris club are twelve points clear at the top with a game in hand.

It was a strange week in Italy; all matches were played to empty stadiums and will be through at least April 3rd due to coronavirus.

Lazio 2 - Bologna 0 (2/29)
Bologna had two goals ruled out by VAR and Lazio took temporary possession of first in Serie A last week with the Juve-Inter match pushed back because of coronavirus.

Juventus 2 - Inter Milan 0
Aaron Ramsey and Paulo Dybala scored for Juve to cement the two-horse race for the Serie A title between them and Lazio. Inter are 8 now points off second. Juve moved back into first place in Serie A, one point ahead of Lazio.

Women’s Soccer

Spain 3 - Japan 1

USA 2 - England 0
Second half goals from Christen Press and Carli Lloyd just two minutes apart lifted the stars and stripes to the win. The US out-shot the Lionesses 23-6.

USA 1 - Spain 0
Julie Ertz’s header off a set piece in the 87th minute claimed the points for the US. Spain played the United States even for the entire match, a strong showing from them.

Real Salt Lake 1 - New York Red Bulls 1
A second half added time goal from RSL’s Damir Kreilach split the points.

FC Dallas 2 - Montreal Impact 2
Maxi Urruti scored a brace for Montreal but late goals from Zdenek Ondrasek and teenager Ricardo Pepi earned a draw for the home side.

D.C. United 2 - Inter Miami 1
Rodolfo Pizarro scored the first goal in Miami club history, but a red card to Roman Torres led to two quick D.C. goals and a win for the home side.

Colorado Rapids 2 - Orlando City 1
Another goal at the death, this week from Drew Moor, gave the Rapids the win. They snatched the points at the end of the match last week at D.C. United as well.
