Alexandre Lacazette’s late goal lifted the Gunners to the win.

Well you really can’t ask for more than that. Arsenal get the crucial away win to open their Europa League Round of 32 tie with Olympiacos and head back to the Emirates next week for the return leg heavy favorites to move on to the next round.

It was a sloppy affair from both sides with loose touches and misplaced passes all match — the rain soaked pitch probably had a bit to do with that. The match ebbed and flowed, with Olympiacos coming out strong, Arsenal controlling the middle 45 minutes to an hour, and the home side looking more likely to score in the final 15.

The difference-maker came against the run of play on an Arsenal counter. Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang combined nicely on the left side, Saka played a great ball across, and Alexandre Lacazette found a pocket of space behind his mark to bang home the winner.

I’m interested to see what you all thought of the performances today. I’m expecting differing opinions on a couple of guys.
