Tuesday cannon fodder: getting to know you

PDB has done an “Introduce Yourself” open thread at the beginning of the season for time immemorial. Okay, maybe not that long, but for as long as I can remember, and I lurked around here before joining as a writer a few years ago.

With the change in leadership around here, I figured it would be good to have another one, one to which I pay a bit more attention (sorry for not reading as closely before!) so that I can learn who y’all are outside of being Gooners. I also think you guys and gals knowing more about each other is cool. One of the best things about TSF is the community and knowing each other contributes to that.

So I’ll start. I’m Aaron Lerner, site manager, writer, tweeter, and just about anything else-er that needs to be done around here. I’m born, raised, and still in Washington, D.C., and I love my city. I’m a lifelong D.C. sports fan, some teams more than others. I have a particular affinity for the Capitals and the Nationals. I’ve got family from Louisiana, so I’m also an LSU football and a Saints fan. And as a Duke graduate, I love my Blue Devils. A (somewhat) interesting fact about me is that my first live concert was Spice Girls, and we met Jamie Moreno, the D.C. United player, walking into the venue.
