Friday Cannon Fodder: open thread

Holiday Season Begins Across New York City Area Photo by Roy Rochlin/Getty Images

Good morning TSFers! You’ve made it to another Friday. Congrats! We’ve only got three weeks left in this hellscape of a year — we’ve almost made it. In the next 18 days, Arsenal have 6 matches, with a 7th on January 2nd. So we’ll hopefully be seeing a lot of you around here.

Not really sure of a good transition here, so I’ll jump right in. On my list of things to do today is listen to the new Taylor Swift album. I’m not a T-Swift super-fan, but she writes good songs, and I enjoy listening to a decent portion of her stuff. Folklore, the one she released earlier this year, was great, so hopefully this one lives up to that standard.

I had a bit of fun yesterday thinking about which Arsenal players secretly (or not so secretly) have Taylor Swift on their playlists. My best bet is Rob Holding given his love for country music (yes, she isn’t really country anymore) and American music in general. My darkhorse candidate is Shkodran Mustafi, just because I can imagine that goofy dude bopping around his kitchen to her music, for some reason.

I also think it would be a fun piece of social content to see what the squad have on their Spotify Wrapped. In case you weren’t aware, streaming music giant Spotify creates a list of what songs and artists you listened to most this year. I’m interested to know what the lads listen to. We know Bernd Leno doesn’t like Holding’s country and wants loud, rock music in the weight room. But that’s just a snippet. I need more! So Arsenal, get on that. Thanks.

Anybody have any good, new music they’ve been listening to? Or good, old music for that matter? What was on your Spotify Wrapped?
