It’s a little strange that the FA Cup 4th round draw took place before the last non-replay 3rd round match started. At kickoff, Arsenal and Leeds United knew that a trip to Dean Court and a date with Bournemouth awaited the winner. I’m certain it did not affect how either side approached or played the match — just an odd scheduling quirk.
Arsenal and Bournemouth have met twice this season: Arsenal won 1-0 at the Emirates, and the sides drew on Boxing Day at Vitality Stadium in Mikel Arteta’s first match as manager. The Gunners are 8-2-1 all-time against the Cherries, but the two sides have never met in the FA Cup.
Arsenal are seeking their record-extending 14th FA Cup win. The 4th round matches are scheduled to take place between Friday, January 24th and Monday, January 27th. We will update this article as soon as the official time and date are set.
