Now that the third round of the EFL Cup has been completed, the powers that be decided it’d be a good idea to have a fourth round, featuring - and bear with me here - the winners of the third round, playing each other! This idea could revolutionize the game! Someone patent this idea, quick!
But instead of revolutionizing the game, Arsenal have to settle for drawing Liverpool in the aforementioned fourth round. The match will be played at Anfield, at some point during the week of October 28; the game will probably be on the 29th or 30th, as Arsenal play Thursday the 24th, Sunday the 27th, and then again Saturday the 2nd of November.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will stick with the kids that handed Forest a decisive beatdown or blend in some more senior players, but either way, it should be an entertaining trip up to Anfield.
