Arsenal at Watford: Community player ratings

Arsenal’s particular skill of making really bad teams look really good was on full display today against last-placed Watford. If the Hornets had anyone at all that could finish a chance, this could have been a catastrophically ugly game, instead, we just got a really ugly game in which Arsenal puked up a two goal lead to a team who had, before today, one point from 12.

I don’t think anyone’s happy about today, nor should they be, but it’s hard to isolate any one problem on the day - the midfield was dire, the first Watford goal was grade-school level, the substitutions were puzzling, and so on. Nothing about this game worked, and nothing about this game tells me that Arsenal will challenge for top four status this season.
