Monday cannon fodder: split sulk boost

United States of America v Netherlands : Final - 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup France Photo by Richard Heathcote/Getty Images

Before diving in to the links today, I wanted to say one final thank you to everyone who so generously donated to my bike ride. It took place Saturday, and it was, as usual, a great time with a bunch of great people. And I learned that I am no longer at an age where I can stay out and have “just one more beer”, and then crush a 65 mile bike ride that starts at 7.30AM, like I could 25 years ago.

It almost crushed me, particularly the last five hilly miles in the heat. But I finished, which is the important thing. And I learned that next year, I won’t stay out with my friends laughing and having fun the night before the ride because...oh who am I kidding I probably will.

Still, though, a great day was had, and I appreciate every person and every dollar that was donated. Thanks again.
