Arsenal’s campaign to defend it’s, uh, runner-up status in the UEFA Europa League — which I think we can all agree is THE premier European cup competition — is ready to commence, now that the club has officially been drawn into Group F for the Europa League group stage.

Arsenal’s opponents in this group stage are Eintracht Frankfurt, who finished seventh in the Bundesliga last season, Vitória de Guimarães, out of Portugal, where they finished fifth in the domestic league last year, and Standard Liège, who finished third in the Belgian top flight last season.

The precise match dates and times are still to come, according to the Arsenal website.

Eintrach Frankfurt looks to be the toughest opponent the Gunners will face in this group stage, but all things considered Arsenal should be favored to comfortably qualify out of the group. Furthermore, this is a pretty nice group drawing in terms of travel burdens for the team, a refreshing change after last year’s campaign sent Arsenal all the way to places like Baku and Borisov.

You can find the entire Europa League group stage drawing in the nifty graphic below.
