If there’s one thing Arsenal fans love to read more than anything else in this world, it’s transfer news posts. If there are two things Arsenal fans love to read more than anything else in the world, it’s transfer news posts and shirt number posts. Seriously, this blog gets far more traffic than you can possibly know off of announcements of new players’ numbers. Heck, even new shirt numbers for current players gets you all in a wild frenzy.
Anyway, it’s now been revealed that the club record signing Nicolas Pepe will wear the number 19.
Nicolas Pépé will wear the number 19 shirt for the club, most recently worn by goalkeeper Bernd Leno. Other players that have worn the number includes Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Gilberto Silva, and Junichi Inamoto. #afc pic.twitter.com/NefNV9j6lx

Previous wearers of this number at the club include Santi Cazorla, and no one else matters because Santi Cazorla. It was, however, most recently worn by Bernd Leno, who is no Santi Cazorla.
A friendly reminder: the new Arsenal league season kicks off on Sunday, August 11th, at Newcastle. It should be a joy to see Pepe (hopefully) in action with the rest of the squad.
