Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is set to return to management as the boss of MLS side New York Red Bulls, reports the Mirror.
The appointment in North America would come just a few months after Henry’s miserable first foray into management with Monaco. During his time in the south of France, the former Arsenal striker lasted just 20 games — and his team won just two of the 12 Ligue 1 matches he oversaw.
Henry, of course, had a legendary stint with NYRB to finish his playing career. He appeared for the American team 135 times, scoring 52 goals and winning one Supporters’ Shield.
The Red Bulls are off to a terrible start in 2019. They’ve won just one of their first seven matches, and have secured just 5 points so far this season. NYRB currently sit second from bottom in the eastern conference.
The appointment is not yet official, but the writing seems to be on the wall at this point.
