Arsenal vs. BATE Borisov: win or go home

If the Gunners don’t win this game, their Europa League run is over.

This is Arsenal’s chance to make up for their 1-0 loss to BATE Borisov last week, and if they don’t overturn their deficit, their Europa League campaign is finished.

Here’s the math: if Arsenal win by two or more goals, they’re through to the round of 16. If they draw or lose, they’re done. The tiebreaker is away goals—if they win 1-0, there will be extra time, during which any goals scored will count toward that tiebreaker. Any other win-by-one scoreline, and it’s over.

Alexandre Lacazette is out after being sent off in the first leg of this tie, but Aaron Ramsey should be fit to play again. And who knows what’s going on with Mesut Özil at this point?
