Arsenal beat Slavia Praha 5-2 in Prauge on Wednesday in the first leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League round of 16. Vivianne Miedema got Arsenal’s first four goals, with Kim Little adding a penalty. Slavia Praha got two goals late on, but with five away goals, Arsenal are in a good position to advance to the quarter-finals.

Beth Mead played in Miedema for the first goal; a goalkeeping error gave Miedema a tap-in two minutes later, while Danielle van de Donk set Miedema up for the hattrick after Leah Williamson’s line-splitting pass. Finally, a team-move between Evans, van de Donk and Mead set Miedema up for the fourth goal.
Arsenal play Charlton in the Continental Cup on Sunday.
