Hi there! If you’ve been around The Short Fuse a while, you know that one of the things we do at the start of every season is a thread where we all introduce ourselves and say a little about ourselves. If you’re new to The Short Fuse, well, now you know that too!
So, here we are, two days away from a brand new season - in almost every way. New front office team, new manager, several new players - the breath of fresh air we were all looking for is finally here.
Before we get into the noise and rhythm of a season, with its ups and downs and sidewayses, let’s take a minute to say hello. I really want us all to build TSF into a strong, vibrant community where people want to hang out and chat, about Arsenal and about whatever else, and a great first step in that process is to introduce us to each other.
We all know that you like Arsenal - that’s why you’re here. And that’s awesome. So I want to shift the focus a little bit to some other stuff with these simple questions. Feel free to answer as many or as few as you want, but either way, I want to welcome you to the 2018/19 season, and to the Short Fuse. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to learning more about you!

Big city: Barcelona or Vancouver BC. Small place: the Kona coast of the island of Hawaii or somewhere in the southwest of Ireland
I have never been to the Caribbean, and I’d love to go for a month or two and check out several of the islands.
I just finished reading Tony 10, and as a person who grew up not being of a gambling mindset, it was really fascinating.
Hard to name one: there’s Glow, Handmaid’s Tale, Killing Eve, and Pose, and those are just from this year. If you’re not watching The Good Place, stop what you’re doing and go watch it RIGHT NOW. It’s that good.
I’m not a super-experimental eater. I tend to stick to the more conventional side of the menu, but I did have honest-to-god authentic haggis one drunken night in Edinburgh, and it was...not great. Even when drunk. Which says something.
Your turn! Step up and say hi!
