Now that Uruguay’s time in the World Cup has come to an end, it’s time for the important things to happen - like Arsenal signing one of their players. It has been reported for a while now that Arsenal will sign Lucas Torreira once his World Cup was over, and oh hey look!
Arsenal hope to complete Lucas Torreira deal next week. Agreed with Sampdoria & 22yo. Medical + signing imminent - depends if he flies straight from #WorldCup to London or via #URU Finishes 1st team recruitment but a younger player for future also likely before window shuts #AFC pic.twitter.com/LHkXid7Rda

The Ornstein Machine rolls on - if he’s reporting it, it’s 99% true. So, once he puts pen to paper and probably talks about joining Arsenal as his boyhood dream, it’s a few weeks off post-World Cup, then we should see Arsenal’s newest DM around or not long after the Aug. 12 start of the new Premier League season.
With that signing, as the tweet implies, Arsenal are probably done getting players for the first team, so now we can all focus on what this group can do and not so much worry about who they can be between now and the (English) window closing just over a month from now, on August 9.
