There has been a slight change of plans for the last preseason friendly for Arsenal; the team will face Lazio at Friends Arena in Stockholm on August 4th.
Arsenal last faced Lazio in the 2000/2001 Champions League, with Arsenal getting a win and a draw making this a nice change of pace to the normal teams that Arsenal seem to match up against again and again each season.
Abbiamo una nuova data da dover cerchiare sul calendario!

The Gunners were originally scheduled to face Unai Emry’s old team Sevilla in this match.
Why exactly Sevilla couldn’t accommodate the fixture is unclear, Sevilla are playing in the Spanish Super Cup and that originally was going to be a conflict but that seemed to be resolved with the two legged tie switched to a single match at a neutral site to be held August 12th.
Just speculating but maybe Arsenal and the organizers needed to make a decision on the two teams playing before the issue with the Super Cup was resolved.
Regardless of the reason, Arsenal will have a final tune up match against a top tier team before the Premier League season kicks off on August 12th.
