Friday open thread: what’s on your mind?

Hi there! No sporcle this week, I couldn’t really think of a theme I haven’t done in the last few weeks and I’m feeling lazy. So today’s Sporcle Friday is going to turn into an Open Thread Friday.

What does that mean? That means you can talk about anything you want to talk about (within site rules). Sports, movies, books, TV, music, beer, whatever - what’s on your mind? It’s finally starting to feel like spring, do you have any spring return-from-hibernation things you like to do? I went on my first hillclimbing bike ride of the season on Wednesday, and as always, it sucked all kinds of suckness. I will never be a good hill climber - I’m 6’2” and 250ish pounds, so gravity isn’t my friend - but I am trying to be less bad at hills, and yesterday was the first real day of that quest for 2018.

Are you currently trying to get better at something? Care to share what it is?

Also, I’m going to see Weird Al later this month and I’m stupidly excited about it, not least because his opening act is Emo Philips, one of my favorite comedians of all time. Any shows coming up you’re going to and looking forward to?
