Reports today indicate that Arsenal have contacted the agents of Jean Michael Seri to discuss the options for a summer move to North London. Fresh off helping OGC Nice to a sixth place finish in Ligue 1, the central midfielder has been on a lot of team’s radars since last offseason, with Chelsea and Barcelona also keenly interested in the Ivorian. Previous transfer talk have rated Seri at £40million, which is a hefty price and could represent a lot of Arsenal’s spending power, after big money additions of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
That was TSF’s AlsoNamedPhil last week on building reports suggesting Arsenal were moving on the 26-year old Ivorian.
Today, Sky Sports is pushing that Arsenal “remain interested” in the midfielder following the announcement of new manager Unai Emery. The report notes that Emery tried to sign Seri at Paris-Saint Germain in January, but the move was tripped up by Financial Fair Play Rules that led to PSG signing Lassana Diarra instead.
