Arsenal play the second leg of their Europa League quarterfinal in Russia today against CSKA Moscow.
The Gunners lead 4-1 after a brilliant game from Mesut Özil and Aaron Ramsey, but they won’t be able to coast to the finish line in Moscow. In the last round of the competition, CSKA came from behind to knock out Lyon, and they will be at home today at the VEB Arena. Arsenal’s strength is on the attacking end, and Arsene Wenger isn’t the type to sit back even with a three-goal lead; the Gunners would only help themselves with a few away goals.
Arsenal will be missing a few key players today—Granit Xhaka stayed in London after catching the flu and will probably be replaced by Mohamed Elneny, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to miss at least another few weeks’ worth of games with a knee injury. Alex Iwobi will most likely take his place. We can also expect to see Petr Cech in goal, as David Ospina is still out with an ankle problem.
CSKA will be missing defender Victor Vasin and midfielder Astemir Gordyushenko.
