We were all excited in the last week or so to learn that Laurent Koscielny, captain and all around awesome defensive person, would start his road back to the first team with a couple of appearances for the Arsenal under 23’s. The first one, last week, went off without a hitch. Today’s, though...a very large hitch:
Sad to see Laurent Koscielny hobble off the pitch to be replaced by Nathan Tomey with around 10 minutes left. Let's hope it isn't too serious for the experienced Arsenal centre-back pic.twitter.com/XmzHEbfvOM

It’s far too early to know what the injury is or how bad it is, and I don’t even know if this was a contact injury or something that happened while he was running. I do know it’s really, really too bad that he had to leave with what appears to be another setback on his road back to the first team.
We’ll share more when we know it, but for now, just keep your fingers crossed that whatever it is is just a temporary setback, and not the worst case playing scenario for a 33 year old trying to recover from a really bad injury.
