I do not like transfer windows. More specifically, I guess, I do not like transfer rumors; I haven’t done the math, but in an effort to sound convincing (and generous), I’m going to say that about 1.3% of the rumors in any given transfer window, summer or winter, turn out to actually be realistic. See? it sounds a lot more realistic when you put a non-round number to it!
One of the rumors we’re going to hear a lot of in the next few weeks is “Aaron Ramsey to (team)”. He’s a talented player, his services are in demand, and that demand is coming from everywhere but, explicitly, Arsenal, which is unfortunate because that’s where he currently works. Buckle in, fans, because if there’s a soccer team, Aaron Ramsey will be linked to it.
Today’s entry in that sweepstakes comes just across the Channel from England, where PSG are reportedly preparing an offer:
#PSG ready to offer Aaron Ramsey an 18-month deal when transfer window opens next week. Sporting director Antero Henrique has been talking to both player and #Arsenal, fee to be negotiated between €10-20m (L’Equipe)

As if you needed reminding, because his contract expires at the end of June, Ramsey is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with any non-English club as of January 1. He is of course free to go anywhere he wants in July, but ambitious continental clubs like PSG will no doubt want to lock him down before that becomes a thing.
PSG isn’t the only club interested, of course - according to L’Equipe, there are a number of clubs in Europe that are potential suitors. Any or all of those links might be tenuous, imaginary, or unrealistic, but they’re links nonetheless and the more of those we see, the more likely it is that Ramsey’s future is decided long before the summer.
