Happy Friday! If you’re in the US, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a gigantic feast, of course, and with gigantic feasts come a whole lot of leftovers, usually. How was your holiday? Did you walk out of your feast with enough food for the next few days?
I’m very much a traditionalist when it comes to Thanksgiving - if you want something that isn’t turkey, the typical savory stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, a vegetable and some sort of bread to sop it all up, do that at Christmas. That’s when you bust out the roast beef, the alternative stuffings, or whatever else.
But Thanksgiving is for the basics, all covered with gravy. And the best part is that you can eat those as leftovers for several days - you can make sandwiches, or just repeat the meal for a few nights. It’s glorious.
What’s your favorite part of your Thanksgiving? Are you still eating leftovers? Looking forward to the return of soccer this weekend? Let’s talk!
