Arsenal and Valencia have come together for the second time in five months to work out an agreement on a transfer, this time the player being Francis Coquelin. The rumblings today are that Coquelin has agreed to a four-and-a-half year contract with Los Che, and the move will be formalized within 24 hours.

For what he was asked to do, and produced, given his limited skill set Coquelin managed to retain his spot in the squad for just over three years. His most successful time was spent being handcuffed to Santi Cazorla, a much more talented and technical player, thus being free from having to focus on much more than tackling and defending passing lanes. Given that up until this season Arsenal was a Champions League club this achievement of his should not go unnoticed.

We’ll keep you posted when the clubs makes the sale official, so in the meantime think back to his career and how best you will memorialize this move.
