As promised, Arsène Wenger has named a young squad ahead of matchday 2 in the UEFA Europa League. With Arsenal having an away trip against BATE Borisov, in Belarus, followed by a Premier League match 60 hours later, a majority of the players involved from the start against West Bromwich Albion on Monday have been left behind. Per Mertesacker, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Shkodran Mustafi and Olivier Giroud highlight the senior players involved, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson seem set to start again. With Alex Iwobi injured, there may be a place for Nelson in a more familiar attacking midfield role, with Josh Da Silva, Joe Willock and Chuba Akpom others who might add to their tally of first team appearances. There could also be debuts for several players: Marcus McGuane, Charlie Gilmour and Vlad Dragomir are all set to be included for the first team for the first time.

Probable Arsenal lineup: Ospina; Mustafi, Mertesacker, Holding; Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Wilshere, Da Silva; Walcott, Nelson; Giroud
