TSF first team rankings

We decided to rank the players from top to bottom

Is this list foolproof? Absolutely not, but we are right around the corner from the beginning of the season. We took it to our writers to rank every first team player as of today for Arsenal FC. The only caveat was we assumed in the ranking that all players were healthy.

Below are the results based on average ranking of the writers.

.) Alexis Sanchez - 30 goals and 19 assists in all comps last year, yeah makes sense

.) Mesut Özil - 12 goals, 14 assists, 87% pass comp, and 2.96 chances created per match. Validated.

.) Laurent Koscielny - Definitely a name near the top of the team sheet

.) Granit Xhaka - the 35m man looked pretty good in our run up to the FA Cup win

.) Alexandre Lacazette - time will tell, we’ll find out shortly

.) Shkrodran Mustafi - started off 19 matches unbeaten. A bargain at 30m in this market.

.) Hector Bellerin - Arsenal right back/wing back for the next decade hopefully

.) Aaron Ramsey - I can’t believe he is this low

.) Olivier Giroud - Big Sexy slips into the top 10, he will be vital this year as he passes the century goal mark

.) Petr Cech - Woj, I miss you already, come home.

.) Alex Oxlade - Chamberlain - to re-sign or not, that is the question. My vote: re-sign

.) Sead Kolasinac - An unknown at this point, I think 12 is good landing spot for Sead. Did I mention he was free?

.) Nacho Monreal - Nacho coming in right behind his replacement. I still trust a squad with Nacho in it

.) Theo Walcott - 19 goals can’t be ignored. Looks to have found a new position in 3-4-3

.) Rob Holding - our best piece of business last year. He exiled Costa back to Spain

.) Santi Cazorla - our little magician has been sorely missed each season, I fear this year will be the same

.) Alex Iwobi - He went through a sophomore slump, but we’ll look for him to bounce back this season

.) Danny Welbeck - a valuable squad player who just needs the end product

.) Muhammad Elneny - I’m not convinced that Arsene is convinced by Elneny.

.) Gabriel Paulista - I think Arsene believes in his versatility, consistency is key

.) Jack Wilshere - 29 matches for B’mouth was his most since 13/14 season. I have a feeling Wenger plans on using him

.) Francis Coquelin - A depth player, a squad rotation player. Never as good or as bad as you’ll be made to believe.

.) Lucas Perez - the new #28 who we’ll never see again

.) David Ospina - Sounds like Emi Martinez is coming for his spot

.) Per Mertesacker - the new head of our academy, a position he is suited for.

.) Calum Chambers - I think he’ll climb this list after a successful loan last season

.) Kieran Gibbs - our 3rd choice left back, need to sell

.) Jeff Reine-Adelaide - looks like things went south for The JEFF really quickly this offseason

.) Joel Campbell - For sale.

.) Carl Jenkinson - Carl, you’re a Gooner and we love you. For sale.

.) Reiss Nelson - On the rise, a cup performer and hopefully some runout in Europa league

.) Emi Martinez - He is really hoping Ospina is sold to Turkey

.) Ainsley Maitland-Niles - I’m a big fan, I hope we see him on Thursday nights

.) Chuba Akpom - probably time to sell

.) Mathieu Debuchy - how are we still paying this man? For sale, for free, just take him, please.

* On pure coincidence, Ramsey, Walcott and Iwobi were ranked on their actual squad number
